Trying to disable powermizer completely, but its just not working at all, I've tried it using the registry editing thread and using NV GPU Pro, neither have worked, regardless of what method I use, whenever I pull the plug out, it still downclocks!

    System is:
    T9300, Vista Ultimate 32bit, 8800M GTX SLi (179.48) etc

Anyone got any ideas on how I can just get it to bugger off? :)

    Thanks,
    Monstrous

Why do you want to disable PowerMizer?

The downclocking whenever I pull the power cable out is extremely annoying, as it means this mobile gaming computer is by no means suitable for mobile gaming.

I actually meant to put this in the Graphics section.

The system was never meant to run @ full power w/o a power supply. I mean look at the size of the brick.

It's a LiPo battery, if its putting its 11v out, it should never have to give out more than 20 amps peak. With a standard SubC Ni-Mh cell you can drain about 100w from those constantly and they are not fussed at all. A 3 cell LiPo should be able to handle 230w more than easily enough.

But its a MOBILE computer that you cant actually use for its intended purpose whilst mobile. This is some extremely false advertising IMO.

If your disappointed with it, there is little one could do, its just the way it is; M1730 is like any other laptop with high end GPU, they downclock on battery.

    It's more like desktop replacement.

I could perhaps see why they would like the powermizer as an option, but the fact that it is in-built is just ridiculous, as is the fact that I cant seem to turn it off :( .
