I was on the Dell site and for the XPS M1530 it only list a 1280 by something resolution non-LED screen for the options. Didn't it used to have a LED screen with a higher resolution as an option?

It did. But since the M1530 is EoL now, Dell's probably just selling off whatever parts and/or configurations they have left. As of now, I can't even configure an M1530 on the Dell US site anymore. I wouldn't expect any of the higher resolution LED display options to return.

The XPS M1530 and M1330 are still available, for whatever reason they've been moved to the small business section:

    http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsnb_m1530?c=us&cs=04&l=en&ref=lthp&s=bsd

The only display option I'm seeing is 1440x900, not 1280x800.
