I have an M1530 with 8600MGT, and I've already had the motherboard replaced because of the GPU constantly crashing in the past. However, this current one seemed fine until just now while watching a youtube video the screen stuttered, started to look like a rainbow kaleidoscope, and then went into a BSOD which was barely readable because it was all blotchy and messed up. I turned the laptop off, let it sit for a bit, and restarted it, and it went through the normal startup process including the windows chime noise when you get into the log in screen, but the screen never displayed anything, not even a flicker. I'm assuming my GPU failed again, but has anyone had these same symptoms? I'm still under warranty for a while yet so getting it fixed shouldn't be a problem, I just wanted to make sure I get them to come to my house with the right part.

As always, the best test for this is to hook it up to an external display and to see if you get an output. Bad or lack of output probably means it's died again, regular output probably means there's another problem.
