    Dell's estimated ship date

    Just a heads up.. it's a load of crap (in a semi-good way :)

    I ordered a XPS m1530 on the 24th (late afternoon).. estimated delivery time was on the 14th of August.
    It was shipped yesterday (27th).

    Worst part is... I'm still in Iceland for another 11 days! (and it's being shipped to my US address).

    I've seen a lot of reports of the same (shipped long before the estimated time) so you might want to keep that in mind if you are ordering.

    This kinda makes me mad because I see all of these people ordering laptops after me and getting them shipped out before me. I ordered my XPS M1530 on 7/21 and its still "in production" and I talked to dell and they say there are no hardware delays. The ESD is not until 8/11 :mad2:

    Maybe they bumped mine up in priority because I whined and whined about shipping costs and then whined some more about having to spend 2 hours on the phone :eek: (I eventually got the shipping cost waived for 2 day shipping)

    demand freebies and faster shipping options

    and just waste time on the phone(if u can), "oh, i was between the m1530 and hp xxxx.... i though the Dell XPS premium customer support was suppoed to be a lot better than HP... maybe i should have gone with HP.... why is it taking so long?"

    hopefully some credit :p if not, try and try again (if u have time :)

    wow this is good news.. i ordered an xps 1530 with the weekend deals they had and my ESD is aug 13...hopefully i end up like you.
