Hello people I am new to this forum but I have been looking around for a few weeks getting some good reading . I hope one of you good l502x owners can help me out . I bought my xps from eBay hear in the uk a few weeks ago , the specs are fairly standard sandy bridge i5 , 720hd ext . Since been the new owner and getting the laptop quite cheap I have upgraded the ram to 8gb fitted a ssd and a backlit keyboard . Now for my problem like most other users the hd screen is shocking when watching bluray films ext so I opted to upgrade to a full hd panel . I bought a lp156wf1 matt full hd screen !!!!! i know but £40 new delivered is ok for the odd dead pixel . I also ordered the full hd cable from eBay p/n dd0gm6lc140 , this is the cable I have found from the links on other posts. But after fitting the cable to the screen and putting the screen back in it apears the cable has a totally different plug for the motherboard on my laptop  Please any advice and help

Thank you for the reply , yes I did think the part no was correct and the lead has the part no on it ? But the motherboard plug is totally different been almost flat on the old lead and the new one having a raised contact block down the middle with a small metal clip almost on one side. I have taken some pictures on my iPhone i will try and upload them onto this post , sorry also the gpu is a nvidia gt 525 m

Problem sorted people it looks like the cheap leads been sold hear in the uk on ebay are not correct , i have bought two both around the £21 mark both from china sellers and both are wrong . So i have now bought a genuine dell full hd cable ( twice the price ) but the cable is 100% correct :) :)
