hi my sxps16 recently broke, dell have agreed to give me a new laptop and they will be picking my old one up.

The problem is that I have changed some of the insided ie the plastic that next to the keyboard/toucpad because it cracked. Do they check that every part matches with their records????

Hm, I don't know if they check for this (I don't think so). Best you can do is wait, if you want to lie to them...

I sent back an alienware m17x without a hard drive in it. lol. My dell escalations agent told me i could swap out the 250 for the 500 (my first had 500, 2nd replacement had 250), and then i emailed him back asking if i could just keep both, and he never replied, so I just haven't returned it yet. I plan on returning it in the replacement i'm getting now. Chances are they won't notice a few pieces of plastic you've changed. You should be safe. Good Luck, hope you get a speedy replacement.
