i have the option of giving my dell back (because the keyvoard is broken, and i can get a replacement, another one or get it fixed).

so is it worth getting this outlet:
    P8600
    4gb
    blu ray
    320 7200rpm
    intel 5300
    vista (32bit i think)

or the laptop in my sig which cost me £70 lessand i can get it fixed and keep it.
which has no bluray, 250gb 7200rpm.

UK outlet doesnt tell you the problem eiher so i could have a giant scratch.

Wait. Let me get this straight: Dell's letting you choose another unit from the UK outlet in exchange for your current machine which only has a broken keyboard? Really?

If it's a free upgrade to the Outlet unit, sure, why not. If it's Previously Ordered New or Refurbished, chances are that it will be in close to perfect condition. You only have to watch out with the Scratch and Dent units. If you have to pay ($70) more for it, it really depends on how much you value that BD drive and 70GB extra.

I'd personally say no, but if you want to play BD media...

no, on the UK outlet theres no way to know if its in new contiion, scratched or anything else, its just luck.

and the outlet model is £70 cheaper then the one i have now, so i save money and get blu ray+HDD.

i really dont use the blu ray drive, i am never going to pay £15 to buy a blu ray. i have either watched it in the cinema's or torrent'ed it, so there is no point in a blu ray drive for me. i dont need 70gb and im planning on gettina SSD next year anyway.

so its just down to save £70 and take a chance or get my laptop fixed (if they cant i get a new replacement rright away)

does the new one has rgb led as well? go for the bluray it would increase the resell value of your laptop even you dont use it.
usually the replacement computer are problem free, i had a few replacement
    (4) in the last 2 years as far back as i can track on my dell account.
