Hello everybody, I have recently noticed a very odd issue that has started with my Dell M1530.

When I power it on, the bios screen loads up and flashes off like normal, but then I hear about 10-12 short fast beeps....then windows loads.
I believe I've seen this issue happen once without the BIOS DELL screen loading but that was once or twice.

The laptop works fine otherwise. I've ran the dell diagnostic and it has not found any issues at all.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I have the exact same problem with a Dell Latitude D630. Did you ever find a resolution to this issue? I don't think these are BIOS post codes. These beeps happen after the bios loads. I think they may be coming from the Windows boot loader or from winload.exe, but they are really annoying and don't affect the functionality of the laptop at all. Please let me know if you've found any information regarding this issue.

    Thanks,
    Steve
