    Hi,

I have a very strange problem. I tried hooking up XPS to a projector via the mini display port to vga converter. The display was working fine, but when I connected my 2.1 speakers to the head phone jack, both the display and the audio had huge amounts of noise.

So basically, I could use either only the external display or the external sound on both my dell laptops.

I think this might be a problem with my projector and sound system, but just to make sure, do any of you have a similar issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

If anybody else is facing this problem, it is just an earthing issue. Nothing specific to dell laptops! :)
