I disabled power conservation mode and have rt and CPU set for same settings as when plugged in. Get perhaps about an hour 20 mins out of my old trust laptop. Have 6 cell battery.

Am surfing net, downloading files wirelessly.

    What are you getting?

    Thanks
    Peter

If I remember correctly I used to get 2.5 to 3 hours on my 6 cell & about 3+ hours on my 9 cell on my old 1530. : )

After three years with the same 6-cell battery I only got about half an hour an Balanced (and brightness to the lowest) settings in Vista/7. Now I've bought a new 9-cell battery and I'm getting almost 4 hours with the same settings (and brightness to medium-high).
