    Hi there ,

Recently i have experienced a very strange problem with my XPS , that almost made me think that the lappy is levaing me ...
So , one day i started the machine , and after 5 minz the whole screen froze and some flashing lines have apeаred. The first thing that crossed my mind, was that the video is dying and the mobo needs to be replaced. Given that my warranty has expired, and I do not have money for that replacement i have decided to wait a bit. For the next 7 days , the same thing continued to repeat - it worked for about 2/3 minutes and the screen froze again and appeared those lines again.
After one more week , i have gave it a shot again , and guess what ... everything is ok , no more forzen screens no more flashing lines and etc. And since a month everyhing is OK.
I have missed to mention that those horizontal lines sometimes appeared in the very beginning over ,when the laptop gets powered on, over the DELL logo /and sometimes in Vista/ and thats how i'm excluding the option this could be driver related ... or not?

I'm always checking the temps, in idle everything is like it's supposed to be.
So guys if you know something about this or what could be the problem please help!

    PS. sry my bad english

    This.

Even if you are OOW, Dell still might replace the mobo due to the Nvidia settlement.

If you can't get Dell to replace it, I wouldn't bother. Start saving for a new laptop.

Yes, i know about the settlement , but even that "+1 year" option isn't already available for me (from few months ago) ...

Still i'll give it a try. Thanx for the positivness ;)
