I had my Dell m1530 for about a month and a half. For about a week or so, I've been having heat problems. At times the temperature would get over 80 degrees Celsius. A couple of times, it reached 110. Sometimes the temp would be normal and when I put it in standby mode(close the lid), the computer would reboot to the sign on screen. I would sign in and the temp would be very high. It now does that every time I put it in standby. The fans do not come on when they should. I have to shutdown the computer and then start it again. That's when the fans would come on full blast and cool it down. I called Dell and went through some troubleshooting with them. A higher-up technician is supposed to call me tomorrow and discuss which parts need to be replaced. I've read that there has been issues with the Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT video card. Has anyone else had problems like mine? Please let me know.

Which wireless card do you have. Some people have reported issues after sleep mode, when using the Dell Wireless Card. You can go into device properties and select some options or other to fix this (the one where you tell computer not to turn off the card)

I have a Dell Wireless WLAN 1395 Mini Card. I just unchecked the "allow computer to turn off device to save power." This has caused heat problems?
