    I notice that much of the weight shifts to the end of the laptop with a 9 cell battery, so I wonder how it feels when setting on your lap. Is it comfortable enough?

    I have a M1530 with a 9 cell. It's fine sitting on my lap. But you can feel that the back is different.

    i like the curve of it, to be honest it doesn't feel much different with a 6 cell, except that its runs cooler with a 9 cell cuz of that curve, well at least for me

    I like it better with the 9 cell, since the hot rear end of the heat sink assembly isn't in direct contact with my leg. Of course, it does run cooler due to the increased airflow, and gives a better typing angle..

    the 9 cell doesn’t bother me at all, it's more Comfortable because of the air flow you get... and on the lap its the same as the 6 cell...and i never put it on my laps cause it gets hot so i always put it on a pillow still Comfortable...

    I don't use mine directly on my lap but I really enjoy the way the 9 cell lets the computer sit up more to increase the airflow.

    On the same token I really like how light weight my 4 cell is as well..

    9-cell looks funny on M1330. I like the look better on M1530.
