I need a laptop to do mainly web development work on. It will mostly be connected to a monitor but I will sometimes use the screen to check on e-mails and a few other things.

Will an XPS 12 convertible notebook with an i7 ulv processor be as good as the i7-3632qm in an XPS 15? I would prefer the XPS 12 for portability but not if the performance will be much less than the XPS 15.

    Any help really appreciated.

Are you sure you want to touch the XPS 15? I suggest you read through the XPS 15 owners' threads. Or you can join those threads later, sharing your frustrating experiences.

Haha I know what you mean, I have had two L521x units in the past and had to return them. But.... this time I was thinking about buying from the Outlet. My options are limited because I MUST have a Displayport laptop and so far only Dell and Samsung make such models that fit my needs. I suppose I would be forgiving to the pixel grid screen when the price is almost 25% off in the outlet compared to new.
