    For all those waiting for the new 1730, heres quoted from engadget.

    "We can't ever guarantee launch dates on an unannounced product, but it looks like Dell's internal shipment date for the new XPS M1730 just slipped, and has been pushed back to September 21st for the US, Europe, and Asia. Here's the latest specs list (sorry, not much there has changed since before):

    * Intel Core 2 Dup up to 2.6GHz (X7800, 4MB cache)
    * Up to 4GB DDR2 667 RAM, Intel PM965 chipset

    this is getting CONFUSING. sometimes it 8700M and sometimes its 8800M. Can't they stick on one theory? gee

    Well engadget has always said 8700's its just rumored to have 8800's. It's possible you will be able to choose from both.

    Well I believe that new Toshiba is confirmed to be packing single or dual 8800s so I'm guessing Dell is definitely going to have 8800s in this machine.
