Hi. My dad has an older XPS M170. I noticed that his touchpad has scrolling arrows on the right side and bottom of the pad. I know that other notebooks have the ability to set zones for page scrolling up and down, left to right. I was wondering how customizable the touchpad is on the XPS M170? I looked at the Dell website for the driver but only see one for an older Alps.

Is this the correct driver to use?

I guess I got lost in the shuffle? :p

So I installed the Alps 5.4.104.4, A10 driver. My Dad's XPS has W7 so I get a compatibility issue popup. I check "do not ever ever ever show me this again" as I do not see any problems so far.

I did notice however while Googling there was a 7.X.XXX.X driver but a little perusing found that this version is for the newer XPS models with most likely different chipsets.

Anyhoo. It's running fine and I just thought I'd post this in case someone has one of these older models.
