    Hi,I just got the Dell XPS M1530 a few days ago. Been reading on this site about the screen issues. Could anyone please tell me how do i find out which screen make im using? as i heard LG is the best one to have.

    LG isnt the best. most people say that cause they get less nmber of problems with it. its luck . some LG screens can be horrible also. are u happy with yours. if u are then y do u needto know. if your not get it replaced but remeber u are not guarenteed to get an LG screen from dell. its a matter of chance

    Thanks for the reply. Im happy with my screen and definetly not going to get it replaced. The screen quality is great.

    Basically, i just wanted to know how do i find out the make of the screen? do i go into setting in the computer to find out.

    I'm not sure how you do it on Vista, but in XP you can go into Device Manager and show properties on the Plug and Play monitor and the model number will be in the device id. The more precise steps have been posted here about 100 times. Please post back the model you have when you find out.

    I've posted this info now like 5 times in different threads,
    log on to dell's support website,enter your service code(on the bottom of laptop)it will give you a detailed list of every component that was used in your particular laptop.Towards the bottom of the list it will show which part# and manufacturer's LCD Panel you got in your machine.
