    Dell XPS M1530 CPU upgrade question

    Hi,

    i've got a question:

    Can I upgrade my Dell XPS M1530 with a T5800 Core 2 Duo CPU to a Quad Core CPU like the Q8100 (not now but maybe in the next 6 months).
    I think the socket is the same and it's still Penryn but the FSB is different so I'm not sure.

    No you cannot. x9000 is the fastest, but it rated at 44 watts, the t9300 is the best deal for the money. T9500 will also work, but it costs considerably more for the extra .5 ghz.

    I would put x9000 if i could find one reasonbly priced. I dont want es model.
