after the computer starts up lines appear on the right side. green, red blue, and yellow. they are about a pixels in lengths each. I was ok with them there, but today a new one has appeared on the right side. The pixels only show up on my xps screen any other monitor/tv there aren't any. the lines aren't able to see when there is a white background. wanted to know if its hardwear/softwear. and if its fixable.

If you still have warranty, just get DELL to replace the display for you. If not, there's a couple of methods you could try:

    wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-Pixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor

I would start with the software method. I cannot guarantee that any of this will work, nor be held responsible if it makes things worse (be sure to read the disclaimers on that page as well)

Good luck, hope it clears out! :)
