Coming up to a year with the XPS 9370 (and I am seeing a lot of deals on it, seemingly to get stock out the way), we could be seeing one being announced as early as next month with a Q1 release.

The likelihood is that it will use the new Whiskey Lake CPU's, this should hopefully resolve issues relating to Killer WiFi as they contain an integrated WiFi controller.

On Notebookcheck, there was an article a few months back where it was stated that a Matte option will be brought back for the upcoming 9380. There is also a possibility of HDR displays.

I don't know if there will be any design revisions, I mean perhaps the web cam at the top? But I doubt it.

The best thing they could do, is improve the cooling solution as no manufacturer (not just Dell) really solved the issue of the 8th gen CPU's with the jump in cores from 2 to 4 (and 4 to 6 for the 45W CPU's). They could also look at ways to reduce or remove coil whine, something that has plagued even Apple and Lenovo recently.

There may be some port changes potentially, by replacing the power port to another TB3 port which can charge. A return of the USB-A would be welcomed but unlikely.

I have some high hopes for this new model and it is what is stopping me buying the XPS 9370, even at the bargain price of £1378 for the i7/16GB/512GB spec with 4 years warranty + accidental cover included.

Edit: Decided to just buy the 9370, the offer was too good in retrospect to not take up!

    This is about the 9380. I don’t expect 9580 till Q2/3.
