Okay so here's my story. Bought my Studio XPS 16 sometime in July and have been loving it. Got all the little goodies including the WiFi/WiMAX 5150 Card. My only complaint about this computer has been this WiFi card. Not only have I never known if the WiMAX ever worked because it never did pick anything up, but the WiFi was total crap EVERYWHERE I went. I was lucky if I could connect to the internet at all. After much haggling with Dell Support about it I finally gave up. It got a little better as time went on but I still had issues and it was extremely irritating.

Now in the last couple weeks I've been having some major issues with vista, ending with it completely not booting all together. At this time (around October) I had installed Windows 7 along side vista so not all hope was lost. Only thing keeping me from completely switching to 7 was the fact that for the life of me I could not make it see or use my 5150 WiFi/WiMAX Card. Unfortunately due to an error with the HDD Partitioning program I was using I lost everything on the HDD. I did have the important stuff backed up.

I wiped the HDD and re-formatted it completely and re-installed 7. I ordered an Intel 5300 Card and thought I would be set. However, once again for the life of me I cannot get it to work and under much research on here and other places I have found that I do not think it will work. Is there a card somewhere that I can buy, install, and actually have work on my 1640 running windows 7 home premium 64-bit?

Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!
