I am looking to buy the Dell Studio XPS 16 but i am not ordering it with the blue-ray drive just the normal DVDRW etc.

Will it be worth it getting the full hd 1080p screen or since i am not going to use the blue-ray just settle for the normal 720p screen? Is there that much of a difference between them since i am on a tight bugdet.

    Thanks in advance.

Get the 720p if you wont be using it for true multimedia - esp since you wont be watching movies on it.. The RGB LED Screen is superb if you can afford it tho :D

so even tough i wont be using blue ray, the 1080p screen is still great and there is a noticable difference between the 720p and 1080p?

Obviously, the clarity contrast colors is noticeable if you are a screen enthusiast. The screens are non user upgradeable, so if it fits in budget I recommend getting the RGB LED

get the 1080p :p ...later on you might regret getting the 720p just like i did when i got my m1530 with the 1280 x 800 and found the usable space too small so i upgraded to the 1400x900 :p
