This is probably the third LED I have received where after months of use, there appears to be these "bright" spots where it's noticeable on a bright background, but say if you play a video game it's unnoticeable. It annoys me when I read a website and it's brighter than the other parts, but it's not a huge deal. I was just wondering if this is a normal effect of LED monitors and will it spread or become more commonplace?

I haven't noticed anything like thaton my 1530, although I have heard of it. It has been known to happen if the computer is left on for really long hours and everything gets hot, as anybody with a 1530 knows all too well about the heat it can give off.
Try checking the brightness level to see if it is up too the highest setting, if it is, set it back a few notches to see if that helps.
