    Hello guys,

I am having a strange problem and I would like your help. Can someone tell me if you can get a resolution of 2560x1440 out of the HDMI output of the Dell XPS 15 9530? In my case, my external monitor's HDMI input does not support this resolution and thus I got an HDMI to Dual-Link DVI cable. Unfortunately with this cable configuration I can only achieve a resolution of 1920x1200. The funny thing is that I would swear that in the past I was able to get 2560x1440 using this cable. The problem is that I stopped using my laptop for a week or so and on the first boot after that I did A LOT of changes (new motherboard, new BIOS, new GPU (intel and nvidia) drivers, major OS version update) and I am not sure what made it to stop supporting 2560x1440. But I am not 100% sure if 2560x1440 was indeed supported before all the updates. My main OS is Debian Linux but I also tested it on Windows 8.1 and I have the same problem. Thank you!

PS: Of course I can get 2560x1440 on the DP output.
