A couple weeks ago I had my 1530 replaced with a refurbished l502x. They sent it with a 720p screen which a tech swapped out for the 1080p. I just noticed that after the installing, there seems like there is a slight issue. Look at the photos below. Does anyone know what the cause of this is? or what I should do? I can only notice it at the windows start up screen, but I dont want it to lead to troubles down the road when my warranty runs out.

Also, you can see while the lid is closed, it almost looks like the entire lid is bowed. Does anybody else's look like this? I'm worried I got some dud of a refurb that is only going to give me issues in the long run. The temps on this machine already worry me as the gpu reaches 90C during gaming.

I think something is wrong there, the screen hasn't been properly installed. It could be something that is pressing the screen.

Any other ideas? Should I contact Dell?

It does look like there is force being applied to the screen in that spot. Definitely call Dell and explain that there is an issue...I wouldn't wait. It could even be a screen defect, but more likely incorrect installation. Also, I looked at my computer from the back and while the lid isn't perfectly straight, it doesn't look like yours. I'm sure they'll get it fixed for you, sometimes it just takes some hoop jumping.

Looks like a light leak, maybe improper install.

My xps 15 also has a bit of a bow too, thinks its just the design.
