    Hi there,

Anyone know why my onboard speakers wont work after a Win7 upgrade?

    Very frustrating.

I have upgraded the drivers and spent hours trying to configure the speakers in control panel.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

sometimes upgrading the OS causes problems with hardware drivers.

try removing the drivers completely, from the Device Manager, then reboot Windows.

upon next login, Windows should detect the "new hardware" and install the generic drivers. this tends to work for crap that pops up with wireless cards, for example, after upgrading from Vista to 7.
