The i7 1645 has been removed as a choice from Dell's website, as far as I can see. Sure, you can type in "Studio XPS 16 i7" in Google and get taken to a page from Dell where you can configure, but you can't actually get an i7 1645 starting from a Dell site. It's simply been removed. All you can get are the Core2Duo 1640. Don't beleive me? Go to Dell.com and try to find one.

The OP must be referring to the EPP site....haven't seen it through the EPP site for a couple of days. But yeah...the regular site you can find it in a couple of different places.

Ya, I am referring to the EPP site, but also the Dell site too. I guess it's "hidden" meaning you cannot get to it from the main site. You have to find a link either from Google or somewhere else (like these forums).

Dell.ca has it public. Just click SXPS 16 and it's right there, big and highlighted. Dell.com also has it. I moved my mouse over the 1st item in the horizontal menu bar and clicked SXPS 16 and it says, in big highlighted letters, "Fastest mobile processor on the planet". No clue what you are referring to by "dell site".

Ya, but can you actually configure an i7 SXPS? They advertise it, but when you select the sytem to configure, no i7 option is available. Only Core2Duo. The i7 SXPS systems are hidden, but unless you know where to look for them (i.e. a link from Google or this site), you cannot actually get to those configurations directly by going to the Dell.com website.

    There she goes again..

This is confirmed - DELL India has taken down the DELL i7 from the DELL XPS 16XX series, only the 1640 with the PXXXX processors remain.
