    I just found out today that my screen back light turns off when I open it all the way :mad:. I have to close it and re-open it for the backlight to turn back on, so at least its not completely broken..

    Anyone else have a similar experience? or could it just be that I'm unlucky :(

    Might just be a bad connection somewhere in the display assembly. Heard about this kinda thing happening in older Inspirons, but never on an SXPS. If you're still under warranty, ring up Dell and complain about it. No reason they shouldn't fix this one for you.
