I currently have a Dell M1710 with the 512MB GPU and have charger question? I have the older brick style charger with a nic in the power cable and like to find a replacement Dell charger. I found on ebay the slim 130watt charger as well as the brick style 130 watt charger. Has anyone used this newer slim charger and what experience do they have with it compared to the older brick style charger? And being as slim as it is does it last longer or have a shorter lifespan? They are around the same price so price isn't the problem it is will the slimer version be able to handle the charging needs I want to use it for to.

I haven't found new Dell chargers to be any more or less reliable than the old ones. Just buy whichever one you like more, and it really shouldn't make a difference.

The older one is larger aka Brick supply the newer one is slimier for the same ratings. I asked because I wasn't sure how to tell which would work best at dissipating watts if one was charging from almost low charge battery so as to not fry the charger in the process of recharging the battery. But thanks for the response give one a little more piece of mind...when deciding to buy a replacement charger.
