I'm new to this forum so be patient since I'm sure this has been asked before

My battery is not charging on my M1330. It's about 15 months old.
I've replaced the brick with no change. Before I spend money on a new battery is there something I can do to confirm the battery is indeed bad?

Does the battery power the laptop or is it totally dead? Have you removed the battery from the notebook and reattached it?

Is your AC adaptor recognized in the bios ?
The battery will not charge if the adaptor is not recognized

THe battery will not power the laptop when unplugged. I've removed the battery and reseated it. The battery icon says plugged in not charging
