I recently spoilt some tea over my keyboard, after which it has been a bit funny (e.g. when I type a y or t they show up as y6 and t5). Iniitially I thought it was just the keyboard, so replaced it. However, even withnew keyboard the issue continues. Is my motherboard fried now, or are there other options to try?

Your motherboard could be hosed... can you see any liquid residue on it? Did you try to clean the keyboard connector (on the motherboard end) too?

    Hi,

As Commander Wolf mentioned, the possibility of liquid residue is high. Please use the below link to view or download the service manual of XPS M1210. You may refer to the same, check and clean the keyboard connector and slot on the motherboard. You may also connect an external keyboard and confirm that the typing error does not occur while typing with it.
