I found the seller on ebay who sells this LED upgrade with resonable price, and it is very temping for me to buy it. My question is the LCD connection is the same with CCFL screen? I have no problem about taking the laptop apart and install the new screen. I just want to make sure if anyone who buy this screen would share the experience.

    Thanks!!

The connector will be the same. Note that the bezel surrounding the LCD panel is not the same size between the two displays. It will work, but you may* have to be a little ghetto with your mounting

*or, it might just fit right in. The CCFL screen has a larger bezel.

So the bezel is actually completely different. The LED panel comes with some sort of a chip that needs to be screwed in at the bottom of the bezel, some sort of controller or what have you. The CCFL bezel does not have this connection so the LED will not fit. You would have to buy a LED bezel or convince Dell to swap it out for you.

Are you guys sure? We aren't talking about M1330, which has 2 different bazel for each type of the screen. Dell tech told me that it is the same on M1530, so I might buy the screen.
