    Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone was able to set up two external monitors on a Dell L502X? I have tried, and since it only has the HDMI output, I can only seem to get one monitor. I use a HDMI splitter, going into two DVI inputs on the back of two monitors, but I get the same screen on both monitors.
YouTube has a video of some dude doing it somehow, so I assume it's possible.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to make this possible? What kind of hardware I might need?
    Thanks

    Intel i7-2620M
    64-bit OS Windows 7
    8 GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M

You have a Display Port connector as well...you'll have to use that to run the second display. Any DVI splitter will output the same to both screens.

I have a samsung 24 inch dvi only and an ancient dell dvi panel - have both hooked up - 24 inch using hdmi to dvi adaptor and old unfaithful using a MDP to dvi adaptor - with the laptop panel in between.

Work flawlessly for me - sleep, hibernation or shutdown the 15x always wakes up with the extended desktop intact and gaming/working quite happily with 24inch as main monitor and no noticeable quality detriment.

Yes, a mini display port did the trick. I've never used one of those before so had no clue. Thanks for the help!
