Today I got a pop-up from the Dell Support Center saying to download the update. It's almost certainly related to the following issue, but it doesn't entirely fix the issue described:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/del...confirmed-security-threat-all-xps-1645-a.html
SECURITY ISSUE Dell Studio XPS 1645 - Laptop General Hardware Forum - Laptop - Dell Community (even got Dell response)

I tried A13 out a few days ago, and yes, it does have the same throttling problems as A10, A11, and A12, so I reverted back to A09.

I also got the email, but had already updated to A13 earlier. I had been running A12 (haven't had throttling in games even with the 84C limit), so it was a no brainer for me.
