I know next to nothing so be gentle. I'm enjoying my new Dell 1555 with the built-in McAfee however I recently ran a full scan and it didn't seem to find anything even after several months of web browsing. It's a 64 bit so I'm really unsure what spyware removal tools are fully compatable so I thought I'd ask for your advice on how to best keep my 'puter purring before installing something from Major Geeks like Adaware or the like.
P.S. I fell for a sales pitch from a Dell tech while getting some issues resolved and I have in my hands an unopened box containing Norton 360 Ver 3.0 All-In-One Security suite but after doing a little research I read some were having problems with it so it's just sitting here. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks so much.

For spywares removal tool, I would recommend SpyBot Search & Destroy. It's free. Most 32 bit apps work in 64 bit. But as you said, you did not find anything with the McAfee. You should be fine. There's no need to panic =)

Things you should remember in the Internet :

    1) Never click on any unknown links
    2) Never surf "free" sites
    3) Never download anything from unknown sites (cracks,warez...)
    4) Always have your firewall turned on

You should be safe by then.
