OK ! I tried twice it dint work so I am trying the third time.. Moderators.. .Apologies ... dint mean to spam the thread.. Hope this works

Hey guys this is my first post and I am really worried with the issues with my new 1340 win 7, wled so please help.

My itinerary clearly shows a Nvidia Geforce 210m graphics card and they shipped me a system with 9400m.

I have already started my previous work on this computer and I dont know if I should go back to the customer care and ask them to replace this as it will be collected and I dont know how long they will take to replace this.

Again with the WLED screen, I am not sure if it is ... actually a WLED... I searched all the forums and have seen the 1330 pics but have never seen a 1340 wled screen pic as this one has curved edges...

Really unhappy about the system ... I paid crap load of money to buy this system in this recession... please help !!

The 210M also has a 9400 inside it. You have to toggle over to the 210 with the power settings button in the system tray. You may have to make a registry entry to get the GPU OPTIONS to show under advanced power settings. Have you tried all that?

I had the same problem. A technician came out 3 times before I was told that the 210m is on hold indefinitely. So they offered me a full refund.

WHAT REALLY TICKS ME OFF IS THAT THEY SENT ME THE LAPTOP WITH THE WRONG (AND LESSER MODEL) GRAPHICS CARD AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING UNTIL THE PROBLEM KEPT ESCALATING. I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK THEY GOT SHIPPED THE RIGHT CARD AND DIDN'T. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE THAT IS ILLEGAL.

IF accurate I would agree with you. However, you seem to be ignoring my posts in several threads that the 210m part has to be enabled in Windows 7 with a registry edit. I'm sure there's a setup / driver oversight here. I wonder how many people think they don't have the 210m when they actually do?

Wouldn't an online tech and three onsite techs know that?? The thing that makes believe that what I posted is correct is that they keep shipping me the Geo Force 9500 M. If what you said were correct, they would be shipping me the 9400.

Here is a screen shot of what I have in my system for a graphics card. Could someone who ordered the Nividia x10m 512mb card tell me what they see under their sys info?

    THANKS!!

I'm glad I found this thread. I actually thought Dell shipped the wrong card but after modifying the HidePowerSetting option in the registry to 0 and rebooting, I'm now seeing the G210M listed as it should.

I have attached screenshots of System Information and Device Manager which clearly show both the 9400M G and G210M.

Hope this helps anyone else that is concerned that Dell didn't give you what you paid for!
