    Default Brightness on XPS

    I have a09 bios . When I go in to change the default brightness to a lower level when using ac power the setting doesn't stay. It Boots up to the highest level. I went back into the bios a few times to check the setting and it is set at level 5. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

    you can change it in power settings as well, on vista at least.
