    Hello,

After many trials and tribulations, I decided to pull the trigger on a new XPS 1530. It's a brand new, not refurbished, and I will be adding some things myself.

    Dell XPS 1530:

    T8300 2.4 Ghz processor
Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium
    RAM: 2 gigs
    Resolution/screen: 1920 x 1200 with the 2.0 MP camera.
    160 GB 5400RPM Hard drive
    Graphics: 8600M GT
    Wireless: Intel Wireless N card
    High Def Audio 2.0
    1 Year warranty

    /Everything else default.

I got the special Product Red version due to me liking the colour.

I will be upgrading the :

    RAM to 4 gigs.
Vista Home Premium to Ultimate x64
Hard drive to a 200GB 7200 RPM hard drive.

The laptop itself costed me $1200~ after shipping + tax.

Actually, it was the 25% off config $1499's or above. It took me a while for them to apply it to me, but in the beginning, it DID work for me [the coupon.]. However, I was unable to check out. A couple days later they changed it to M1330 only. I argued with them, etc. and they finally applied it to me. :)
