    DIY: Overclocking Dell XPS L702X physical modifications for maximum performance

    Greetings:

    I am providing pictures on where to physically cut into the Dell XPS L702X laptop to provide the best cooling possible, so you can achieve stable maximum overclocks of Nvidia 555m of at least 820mhz for GPU and 1000mhz for memory. However, this is assuming you have done the voltage mod that allows for .92 volts (Google 555m 702x voltage mod).

    Sometimes you can achieve even higher overclocks if you have sufficient air conditioning in the room.

    There are two places you need to dremel: the metal vents on the side, and the plastic mesh slits.

    Metal vents dremeled:

    However, if this is still not enough GPU power for you, then consider doing an EGPU setup which allows you to have an external GPU. The EGPU setup requires a little bit of cutting into the Dell XPS L702x which I have shown in the following link:
