    Is this software useful?

Does it improve the sound quality or is it just a useless sound manager application that lengthens the boot time?

I got this software with my laptop but my key is now expired and cannot re-install it. Is it worth asking for a new key or should I skip it?

Both Creative and Dell sends responsibility to the other side, so what should I do? If it is not a useful application, I could just skip it.

    Thanks in advance!

Useless. I switched from Vista to XP and tried to purchase a license from Creative to use this on my laptop since it came with the laptop when it was running Vista. Creative offered no support, Dell the same. Both pointed fingers at each other. "Tech Support" from Creative tried to keep telling me it was "hardware". Doofus!

Thus, it does not improve sound, right?

It just has the Soundblaster name for marketing reasons...grrrrrrrrrr

    hi
the creative advanced MB is an useless software, it doesnt increase the quality of sound, also it increases the boot up time.

even i did purchased it, but its not worth, but from Nov dell has stopped shipping creative advanced MB software. also they arent providing any support for it.

but you will get support from dell tech support, if your key is expired, ask dell to provide you with a new key, ey will send you a new key, coz the single key last for 3-4 activations.

try to talk with dell tech support, since it was bundled with dell, if you want a new key, dell will help u with a new key coz you are paid for it.

IMHO its better to skip installing creative advanced MB software. :)

i still remember dell provided me an email id for activation of creative advanced MB thru email, but sorry i forgot that email id for creative tech support, which you need to send your old key n the creative tech support will send you mail with a new key, so you can activate it. :)
