I have the disk that came with my M1730 for Vista. Anyone know where I can get the one for XP? I've tried just about everything off of the Dell site.

    Thanks.

Here's the link to Creative's site.
    http://files.creative.com/ManualDn/Applications/AudigyADVANCEDMB/MBSetup.exe

I'm in the process of trying to install it on my XPS M1530 that I installed Windows XP on instead of Vista. Not sure if I need to uninstall the Sigma Tel driver first or what the deal is. When I installed the Audigy Advanced MB my Sigma Tel sound quit working. Got a yellow error message under device manager. Was able to get it working again by reinstalling the driver for it but wound up doing a system restore because it created a 2nd Sigma Tel icon in Control Panel.

On my XPS m1330, audio driver works fine on Windows XP. But when I attempt to install the Sound Blaster software, it says that audio driver not found. It worked fine on Vista. Can someone help ?

I paid Creative $19.99 for a license to install it on my laptop now that I'm running XP and it doesn't work. I get an error message saying:
"Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Pleas ensure that your product is properly installed before running set up program. Set up will exit".

I ignored it the first time and it installed some software but my sound quit working and I had the yellow exclamation point on Sigma Tel audio under device manager. Like I said, did a system restore to fix it.
Waiting to hear back from Creative, told them I want my money back or they need to explain what the process is for installing this software. Not too happy with it thus far. Seemed to work fine in Vista.

Not to derail the thread but what exactly is this option anyway? Is it basically just a better device driver for the onboard audio hardware? Or is it some CPU-bound post-processing filters on top of the Sigmatel driver? Or a combination of both?

It supposedly gives you more sound options (simulated surround sound etc.) I couldn't tell for sure as I didn't really try it out on my laptop when I had it loaded and running Vista. Haven't been able to run it in XP yet.

I have the same exact issue with my M1530.
Put XP Pro on it instead of the Vista Ultimate.
    Have you had any success?

When I had my old M1710 (built-in subwoofer) with the Soundblaster Audigy software installed I could note a difference.... On the M1730 I can't even detect a change - so I just uninstalled it. Worthless in my opinion.

Only thing I miss about my M1710 - the built-in sub. *sigh*
