My XPS-15 is working fine except for a couple of issues. When I touch the audio control-panel sensor on the control strip it is supposed to launch the Dell Audio control panel software but nothing happens.

Also I cannot seem to use the mouse pad gestures, for instance if I try to pinch to make a web page larger or smaller nothing happens.

I did clean out some stuff before trying these things and I did disable pretty much everything in the startup folder under msconfig. But I don't think I removed any functional software. What should I look for to see if I accidentally removed the things that would make the above issues function properly?

Thanks in advance for your help.

are quickset(/reakteck audio?) and the synaptics pointing device driver disabled at startup?

They must be as I pretty much disabled everything. I'll try enabling those things later and see what happens. Thanks for the response.

Go to Dell's support website and download the audio (realtek) driver and the synaptics driver. That should fix both issues.
