Just a quick hi everyone, first post and all,

Right, I have my 1530 connected to my pioneer plasma via hdmi. I have configured a dual display where my desktop extends onto the plasma, this allows me to set the resolutions correctly for each display. Under power options I have close lid set to do nothing.

Now when I open up an x264 and drag it onto the plasma it displays perfectly whilst the lid of my xps is open, but as soon as I close the lid the picture disappears and the screen goes black. I still get sound through my amp.

Any way of solving this? Would I be better using F8 and switching the Xps display off altogether? And if so are there any programmes which will enable a one click resolution switch, ie standard and plasma profile. Resolutions are 1440x900 xps and 1024x768 plasma.

    Hope you can help

    Phil

Right, after having a play last night I decided the best way to do this is via F8.

Now the only problem i have is that when I switch over to plasma the screen overscans and i`m missing a small part of my desktop from each side. I resized under nvidia control panel and it shows perfectly until i switch back to notebook screen. When i switch back to plasma again it goes back to the original overscanned setting.

Any way to prevent this happening or do i have to live with it?

    Phil
