    I really dont like my Vostro 1500 so much, and then they come out with the XPS 1730, beautiful machine. I asked tech support for an exchange and they said contact customer care.
    Thoughts?

    Absolutely zero, I'm afraid.

    First there's a over $2000 price difference. Second, they aren't even the same class. If you'd bought a XPS 1710, then they might, but it doesn't make sense to exchange a Small Business laptop for a Gaming laptop...

    If by exchange you mean you return the vostro and then add in about 2000 bux more, then yes you will get the 1730.

    But there's no way in hell Dell would exchange your system for another worth over twice as much. Do you see people trading in Kias and getting BMWs for no extra money?
