Im trying to overlock my 9400mg a little bit as well as my processor p8600 2.4ghz core 2 duo with Nvidia performance tools (ntune).

    Stock GPU clock: 450/1075/1100
    overclocked GPU: 500/1075/1200

CPU stock FSB clock: 267 (2.4ghz)
    Overclocked CPU clock: 301 (2.7ghz)

Now I noticed an option on motherboard tab "PCIe slot 1: 2500mhz"
should I increase the PCIe clock? to about 2700mhz just like the processor, or how much should I move it, or do I even need to move it? Is there any benefit of playing with pcie clock, or what does it effect in the system in terms of hardware?

I just want to have the best out come.

So far I see results in Windows 7 WEI

Processor went from 6.0 to 6.3
aero graphics from 5.3 to 5.5

Temperatures increased about 4-5c still pretty low on loads.

You don't need to overclock the PCIe bus because it's unlikely that your GPU would be using all of the bandwidth.

But you can try it, bench the GPU to see if you get any improvement.

Be careful though, overclocking the PCIe bus can make your notebook unstable very fast because your HDD may not be able to handle it. You might get data coruption.

Personally I would just take the FSB further. 333mhz would be my goal.

My goal for the FSB (not PCIe) would be 333mhz.

I would leave the PCIe bus alone.

Ooo Ok... thanx a lot!!! Overclocking the cpu should do real damage if the temps are low right?

Yeah, you will be fine if the max temp is not over 85C.
