    Disable OPTIUMS in the BIOS.

I would. But I read the subject line and there was no question. What is 'this'?

You can't disable Optimus in the BIOS.

What you can do is in the nVidia control panel under "Manage 3D Settings" instead of having the drivers automatically picking which card to use, set it just to use the 525m. Alternatively, you can set programs to default to the dedicated card in the "Program Settings" tab.
