Hi everybody. I bought a new XPSM1330. Looking for thoughts, opinions, advice, etc. Here are the specs.

Only real concern I have is the wireless card. Did I cheat myself out of better wireless internet (I have a router at home and use my school's network)?

I took the 9 cell because I need maximum battery life and I like the idea of the system being raised to make typing easier.

    Matte Black Casing
    Intel Core 2 Duo T8300(2.4GHz, 800Mhz, 3M L2 Cache)
    3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
    128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
    320G 5400RPM SAMSUNG Hard Drive
85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
    Bluetooth
    DellWireless 1395 802.11g Mini Card
    Total: $1,814.21

that looks very nice. pretty pricey, but nice. your wireless card should be fine. do you plan on doing any gaming? or just basic browsing, downloading multimedia and school stuff?

802.11g actually has a maximum throughput of about 30Mbit/s, much less if you are away from the router. If find that my 12Mbit/s ADSL2+ connection is much faster over wired LAN than it is on 802.11g

I would have gotten the Intel 3945 card, for Centrino and how it is more battery efficient, but that's going on word of mouth, not true experience. Nice rig though.

You can always just buy the intel next-gen n wireless card when for around 39 bucks on ebay and install it yourself.
