Hey guys, the latter half of this year is not being kind to me and my less than one year old XPS 1530. I recently had the mobo and keyboard replaced, and now I'm having BT trouble.

About two weeks ago, BT would "disable" after about 5 mins of usage. I'm only using a BT mouse. So, Vista boots up, everything is fine and dandy but ~5mins in, the mouse is disconnected. At first I thought it was dead batteries - I tried the spare, still no good. So I recharged both and tried again next day. Worked on boot up and so thought that was that - but no, same thing; ~5mins in and BT connection is gone. When I go to the BT Devices dialogs to add a device, it does a super fast search and says nothing found. I've also noticed that the BT icon disappears from the taskbar.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the BT drivers but no such luck. Has anyone encountered this before? At least I can always default back to non-BT wireless or even a wired mouse, but it's really irking me that it no longer works. I'm thinking that it could've been a recent Vista update?

Sounds like a bad bluetooth module. I'd have that replaced while you are under warranty.
