    Hello World,

my target is to watch Blu Ray Videos on my new Studio XPS 13 (running Win 7 64bit, GeForce 210 equipped with the 2.66GHz processor). For this, I want to purchase an external Blu Ray Drive, but these are quite rare.

Dell offers a drive numbered 313-7364, a rather small eSata drive. Now this is where I have questions

    - This drive is specified for the Dell Adamo. Will it work on my machine?
    - To watch Blu Rays, isn't it necessary by request of the movie industry to connect digital movie data transfer in a secure way, e.g. HDMI?
    - The connected review to the drive is desastrous - are there second opinions in this forum?
    - Are there alternatives to this drive? I do not want write capabilities and the small form factor is important to me - I would like to take this while travelling, at home, my Blu Rays are displayed on a home theater set.

    Kind regards,
    Frank
