Few days before i started a thread regarding the display issue .. and today i was got a replacement for my keyboard... the old one was very strong and sturdy ... the new one was fragile, and flexible.. i called the CC then and reported that teh keyboard is very fragile... he told me that currently all replacement keyboards are like that...

it seems that Indian customers are the ones who have been ill treated with cheap parts...

so if u are ordered for replacement.. double check the part and its quality..

also again the LCD which i ordered in teh first place was WXGA+ which had a great black:contrast ratio.... i had few pixel problem and i was reported to them.. they sent two LCD in four days and both were very poor in quality and black were not black....

so please be very careful when u are about to get a replacement.... particulary for INDIANS~~

This happens to everybody and is not just an Indian Issue. Replacment parts are refurbs . Why are you playing the race card ? I fail to see what this has to do with your problem .

whatever guys, the OP does have a point, dell could be sending out replacement parts with worse quality than before ( if that was even possible )

and it could be that the issue is only in the region stated, i would like to hear from someone who has had replacements lately to see if they have the same issues.

relax man, no point on bringing racial issues to this thread.

@Koer : thnks ... for replying and understanding the issue here..

i am worried coz , wht if one is under total cover and broke his laptop ... he paid for a quality parts .. but he will be getting refurbished and cheap parts... which i think is not fair..

its happened to me ... say i ordered for WXGA+ with better black:contrast ratio .. but after 2 LCD replacement ... i wasnt satifisied with the colors... of the new LCD.. and the customer care is teelling me that they have sent the same part... anyway i didnt accept the replacement parts... so afain on saturday i hope i will be getting a new LCD with better quality..

we have paid and we are under warranty so that we could get the same quality parts as we got in the first place...

i didnt play any cards guys...

i simply said coz dell has started manufacturing plants in india itself ..so definetly there will be comprmise in the quality.. thats wht all the big comapnies do when they move to developing countries...
